Hi friends, I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend. Overall, I’m a big fan of America. The 4th of July is far and away my favorite holiday, my bachelorette party was America themed, and our powder room is decorated in red, white and blue. I have a TON of respect for the military, and I spent a lot of time this weekend reflecting and thinking about all the brave men and women who gave their lives protecting our freedom. I’m honored to call so many service members my family and friends, and am forever grateful for what they do for this great country!
We packed up the car and headed up to Egg Harbor for a weekend with Casey’s parents. For such a small human, Dane sure requires a lot of stuff… packing the car is a little like playing tetris now-days. I’m sure that’s only going to get worse, the older he gets! We feel lucky he’s such a good traveler and usually enjoys a nice snooze in his car seat. Door County is truly one of our favorite places, and it has so much meaning to our family – so spending time there is always like hitting the reset button and feels good for the soul. We relaxed, grilled, walked, watched the waves and enjoyed a few cocktails. Casey and I even got to sneak away for a date night thanks to Grandma & Grandpa! I took a lot of pictures of the gorgeous scenery, plants and flowers and of course our cute kid! Happy Memorial Day everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your extra day with family and friends. Don’t forget to be thankful today!
