First Father’s Day

Hi friends! I hope you’re having as great of a Sunday as we are! Obviously today is Father’s Day and it’s Casey’s first. I can’t even begin to say enough how amazing of a dad he is in the very few months we’ve had Dane with us. I tend to be emotional….a lot. Casey has been such a foundation to keep me stable during my many meltdowns, and I really don’t know that I could do this without him. We have very similar parenting styles so far, and both really know each others cues (when we need help, need a break, or when we’ve had enough). It’s a partnership, that’s for sure – and we’re always learning and growing figuring it out… together. I’m kind of a picture-aholic so I’ve taken more pics of Casey + Dane than he probably even knows. Here are a few of my very favorites.

We’ve had such a good weekend – yesterday we attended Casey’s mom’s 60th birthday/retirement party and got to see all the family, enjoyed a few cocktails and lots of laughs. It’s so fun watching Dane light up and smile when he sees his grandparents and Uncle Ty & Aunt Steph. (he also got some beagle kisses from Cooper).

Today was more low-key – I picked up a blow-up pool and D got his first taste of summer-life in the water with mom. Casey and I were both swimmers as kids/teens so you know Dane is going to love the water, gotta start him early! I also sported my new amazing swim suit from Athleta. I’ve always been a bikini girl, but I’m just not ready to show off the stomach quite yet, so this suit helps my confidence, is flattering and super comfy too! Great Aunt Meme & Aunt Marie came and hung out for lunch and some sun time and it made for the perfect day.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and took some time to thank all the great dads out there! Now it’s time to finish up the US Open (Go DJ!) and The Battle of the Bastards on GOT tonight (what a great way to end the day!) xo
