Summer Staple: White Crochet Trim Dress

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far. We’ve got a sick babe on our hands – he’s got a cold that just won’t quit so we took him to the doctor today only to find out he also has an ear infection (possible double ear infection). Poor little sweetheart! Antibiotics and lots of snuggles up ahead… and he still smiles and giggles through it all – we just love him and his spirit!

This past weekend we headed out to Casey’s mom’s combo 60th birthday/retirement party in Fort Atkinson. As blazing hot as it was  I knew I needed something comfortable to wear, and this oldie but goodie white lace dress was just the ticket. I bought this a few summers ago as one of the 8 dresses I bought for my “wedding events” – looking back, why did I feel the need to buy so many… a few of them I know I’ll never wear again, but this one I adore and it’s gotten a lot of use. I especially love the open back detail which is super flirty and still classy. Since I bought this dress a while back it’s not available anymore but here are a few similar dresses I’m swooning over: here, here

In other news, I started a new workout plan this week – have you guys heard of Bikini Body Guide (or BBG as the fanatics call it)? Day one, and my legs are total jello – in a good way! I’m pretty fed up with the last pesky 15 lbs of baby weight and am determined to stick to this plan and kick some butt! I’ll be featuring (hopefully) my results in a blog post down the road, so look out for that! It’s all about accountability for me at this point, so thanks for the encouragement, and motivation! ❤
