It’s My Blog & I’ll Cry If I Want To…

Happy Hump Day! If you read regularly, you know we’ve been battling some illness in our household lately, and it struck again. Yesterday our little guy was diagnosed with pink eye… in both eyes! Ugh, can’t we please catch a break here? I swear it’s like he’s healthy for 3-day stretches, then it’s another thing. Everyone keeps telling us, “Don’t worry, he’s getting it all out of his system now and won’t be sick later when he’s in school.” Well I sure hope they’re right because this is madness! Honestly though, I know it could be so much worse and we’re lucky in comparison to what it could be. I try to stay positive about it but it’s been really wearing us down. We’re exhausted, sick of being sick and are just ready for a fresh start already. Sorry to whine, but it’s my blog and I’ll cry if I want to. Thankfully we were able to get Dane into the dr. last night and on eye drops right away. One rough night of sleep/waking lots/confusion and we’re on our way back to clear eyes and health. Somehow both Casey and myself avoided contracting the nasty bug … so far…

In other news I’m excited about a new blog series I have coming out on Lake Country Family Fun. It’s all about nourishing relationships of all kinds and the importance of keeping them strong. The series is something I truly believe in, and am constantly working on. I’m so far from perfect so it’s more of written to myself as a reminder (and just so happens to be relatable to others, I think.) I’ll always make sure to share them on my Facebook page when they’re posted, but definitely check them out. Here’s the link to the first post, which features friendships. Also included in the series: family, yourself, your children & your spouse/sig other.

Dane turns 8 months old on Friday! I feel like a broken record, but howww is this possible?! Full recap then, so stay tuned.

Have a lovely evening! You can find me singing along to the 50th Annual CMA’s – hello, Dixie Chicks with BEYONCÉ?! I’m dead. (sorry Casey) and making my Citrus Pork Carnitas for tomorrow’s dinner (you’re welcome Casey.) xo
