Okay, friends – I am SO excited to share that we got our family photos back and they are perfect. I scrolled through them, and couldn’t help but well up with tears, our baby looks like such a little boy in these! I don’t know how Sumner was able to capture so many of Dane’s signature faces in such a short session, but she did it!
Sumner Welsh is a friend of mine from my college days – she was roommates with one of my best gals and we got to know each other then, and have stayed in touch over the years since graduating. Up until recently, she was a busy mama of two gorgeous little ones working in the banking and payments industry. She realized what her real passion was and went for it by starting Sumner Welsh Photography earlier this year. Her aesthetic is soft, dreamy, beautiful photos using natural lighting. She specializes in motherhood and maternity but was willing to do family shots for us (and may I say, rocked it). When you meet Sumner, you will immediately feel at ease with her, she has a warm and calming voice and tender presence. Dane was so comfortable with her as soon as she walked in the room, which is no surprise because she is such a great mother herself. I can’t say enough about her professionalism and attention to detail either – it was a joy working with her. Now onto the pictures! I would post all 100 of them, but here are our favorites.
