Hey guys! I wanted to drop in quickly and talk about skincare. Ever since I was in college, I’ve been obsessed with anti-aging lotions and serums and always had to check out the latest and greatest concoction. Here’s the thing, I’ve been blessed with pretty balanced skin, rarely having issues with acne, oil or dry skin (don’t worry, I got hit hard with terrible eyesight and super sensitive teeth, so I’ve paid my dues). But still, I was always on a mission to “preserve” my skin. The truth? I was in college… staying up too late studying (…partying) and often forgot to wash my face at night.
Fast forward 10 years since college (how is that even possible, anyway), and I’m into my 30’s and am starting to see those dreaded wrinkles and sun spots even after all of my obsessing.
Enter Tara, a friend of mine from college – who messaged me on Facebook about her new venture with Rodan & Fields. I had heard of it before but had never looked into it. At the time I had just had a baby and he owned all of my attention, so I politely declined and wished her luck but still joined her on Facebook to see what all the hype was about. A few months went by and I had finished up a bottle of my latest moisturizer “fling”, looked tired as hell (the way many new moms often do) and so I decided to contact Tara about the products. She listened to my complaints about my skin and asked about my goals, then very quickly assisted me in finding my perfect regime (Redefine) and also suggested some additional products that would make sense for me. If I’m being honest, I was a bit hesitant because I had a little bit of sticker shock… but when I counted up the amount of money that I was spending on skincare, the prices made sense.
Annnd I’m hooked. Within days of using the products, my skin felt softer, looked smoother and I actually looked forward to my time washing and moisturizing my face every morning and night.
Tara has been fantastic at alerting me to when new products are debuting and is always super helpful when I have questions. By the way, I don’t sell R+F, and I probably won’t, but they’ve got a pretty satisfied customer in me and I really do believe in the products. I feel super confident without makeup – and can rest assured that I’m doing the best job I can to take care of my skin.
p.s. Have you heard of Lash Boost? Oh. My… this stuff is a miracle worker and for the first time in my life I’m not envious of everyone else’s eyelashes. In FACT – I’ve had more than one person compliment them and even ask if they were fake. Nope – all mine, baby!
If you have questions about getting started with R+F I would highly recommend getting in touch with Tara. You can find her website here, and her Facebook page here. The easiest way to get started is by messaging her via Facebook!
Cheers to great skin and not looking as old as I sometimes feel 😉
