Hey friends,
I hope you’re all having a great week so far. We’ve been spending a lot of time catching up on sleep we missed out on over the weekend due to some very fun stuff. We were so happy to help some dear friends celebrate their marriage on Friday, followed by a really fun day with friends and kiddos on Saturday. We came home exhausted, and ready for a week of routine and getting back into the swing of things. Casey is leaving on Saturday for a long work trip to California, so I’ll be solo-momming for 5 nights (ahhh). I’m working on a post for later this week on how I prepare myself for long stretches of just Dane and I.
Right now though, I wanted to share a quick post talking up some of my favorite things at the moment. I always love trying new products (and sticking to some oldies too), and I know how much I count on good recommendations from people so here are a few of my current loves.
Bath & Body Works’ new Purely Clean hand soap line. For those who know me, I’ve long been a BBW devotee but recently felt the hand soaps were drying my hands out. Not good, considering the long winter ahead! But when I popped in last time to grab some new kitchen soap – I found this amazing line of new products that are made with olive oil. The line features scents like black pepper & lemon, bergamot & wild lavender and black tea & cedar – the best news is they’re mix & match 2 for $10 – score!
Micro-Dermabrasion paste by Rodan + Fields – guys this stuff is a miracle in a jar. I’m an independent consultant for R+F, so I have the good fortune to be able to try all of the products, and this is definitely high on my list. I love using this a few times a week in place of my normal cleanser for a deeper exfoliation. My skin honestly feels like silk after I wash it off. Does anyone have those funny little bumps on the backs of their arms like I do? Yeah well, this stuff works wonders to help smooth those right off. Just try googling Rodan + Fields micro-dermabraision paste results… I dare you not to want it. If you DO – let me know, I’d love to send you a mini-facial to try it out! 🙂
My sleep oil roller. This power combo of lavender, stress away and frankincense sends me directly off to sleepy town when I apply it to the bottoms of my feet and neck just before bed. My cousin Kelli is a PRO with Young Living oils, and if you have questions you should definitely check out her website. She has been my go-to person for any questions regarding essential oils, uses and even suggestions for the whole family. Check her out! She’s also available by email and phone: kellinovy@gmail.com, 920-851-2875 🙂
Calia by Carrie Underwood. Okay, have you guys seen her legs? She’s a freaking goddess, no wonder she started an athletic apparel brand. I picked up a few tanks recently because mine all seemed to be getting a bit grungy (as workout tops do). Her clothes are lightweight, flowy and cover all the right areas. I’ll definitely be trying the pants and loungewear next!
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo. I love having long hair. I hate washing, drying and styling it. Enter dry shampoo… I’ve tried lots of brands and have never really felt like they quite did the job for my hair, until I met Living Proof. This pretty little bottle helps me avoid the dreaded hair duty for typically 3 days in a row. One thing I like to do, even if I just wash my hair, is use a little bit to add volume before I curl – works wonders!
What are you loving this fall? Some of my other favorite things include oversized cardigans, falls smells comfort food. Duh, right? xo
Thanks for the shout out Martha! I’m so glad you are loving your oils and love to educate others. You know I have to make you one of my DIY hand soaps to try now 😉 You may never go back to BBW again!! I am also in love with Calia! I have some shorts and capris and want to try more. I saw Carrie Underwood perform at the Young Living Convention in June and I couldn’t stop staring at her amazingly fit legs! One thing I just discovered is an electric pressure cooker. That has changed everything about quick cooking for me. That will have to be your next review. There is huge fb cooking community that revolves around InstaPot recipes.
